Welcome to Church Street

The doctors and staff at Church Street in Dunoon are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.  We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

In addition to everything you need to know about the practice you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like.

This practice has a Zero Tolerance Policy on aggressive or violent behaviour. We will not tolerate any aggressive or abusive behaviour towards our staff. Please respect them and the position they hold.

Medical Students

Church Street Surgery recently became a training practice for the medical students from University of Glasgow.  Dr Saleem was successful in becoming a tutor for the Glasgow University medical students and he will be teaching the year 3 students at the medical school. We also will be training the future doctors in the practice and there will be a 4th or 5th year medical student attached to this practice. The student will be spending five weeks in the practice, getting to know the general practice in detail.

New GP appointed

It is with great pleasure that we would like to announce the recruitment of Dr Chant our new GP partner. Dr Chant shall be joining the practice in early February and until then we are still providing all medical care with Dr Saleem and Dr Hickman who works part time. We would like to thank all our patients for being so understanding in what has been a challenging year. At present we try and appoint patients with their chosen GP but this is not always possible and if you request an emergency appointment on the day you will be allocated the next available appointment slot.
