Routine Appointment

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:

  • phone us on 01369 702772, Monday to Friday from 8:30am (except Wednesday afternoon from 12:30pm to 6pm)
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6pm (except Wednesday afternoon from 12:30pm to 6pm) who will do their best to accommodate your request.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Please contact the surgery as soon as you know you are unable to keep your appointment. 01369 702772.

To cancel your appointment:

  • phone us on 01369 702772, Monday to Friday from 8:30am

Approximately 70-80 appointments per month are ‘Did Not Attend’ (DNA), i.e. the patient does not turn up for the appointment and does not contact the surgery in advance to cancel/change appointment.

For those patients who DNA without notifying us, you will receive a DNA letter advising you of your missed appointment.

If you need help when we are closed

Out of hours cover is now the responsibility of NHS Highland.

From 6pm to 8:30am the surgery is closed. If you require medical advice outwith surgery hours in the evenings, weekends or public holidays then please contact NHS 24 on 111. This service will either:

  1. Arrange advice from a doctor or nurse
  2. Invite you to see a doctor at the centre
  3. Arrange a home visit if you are too unwell to visit the primary care centre.

Between 8am and 8:30am please call 01369 705666 for matters of urgency.

We are closed for lunch between 12:30pm and 1:30pm and on Wednesday afternoons from 1230hrs.  If you have concerns of an urgent nature during this time, then please dial 01369 705666.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor.

They are available for our patients who are housebound.

Requests for these must be made before 10am, except of course in an emergency.

Due to increasing demand GPs can no longer automatically visit any patient who requests a home visit. All visits must now be triaged and dealt with according to clinical need.
